SPENCER LOFTS GALLERY • CHELSEA, MASSACHUSETTS
Window Into Solitary
Portraits and testimony of 17 men and women who have experienced long-term solitary confinement.
Window Into Solitary is a documentary photography exhibition exposing the unusual punishment experienced by close to 125,000 people each day inside prisons across America.
A learning opportunity.
Through intimate portraits and written testimony, the exhibition brings viewers into direct encounter with formerly incarcerated individuals who survived years — and in some cases decades — in solitary confinement.
Produced by Social Documentary Network and Look2Justice, the project combines photography, testimony, and public dialogue to create a space for reflection, recognition, and witness.
